The Philadelphia Chapter of the National Business Marketing Association Set to Launch Early Summer 2009
PHILADELPHIA, PA--(eMediaWorld - May 21, 2009) - The Philadelphia chapter of the National Business Marketing Association, an association dedicated to providing business-to-business marketing professionals with resources and opportunities, will launch in June, its leaders announced Tuesday.
The Philadelphia chapter is being introduced by a local group of B2B marketing professionals led by Angela Morsa, president of Active Integrated Marketing, and Traci Browne, president of Red Cedar Marketing. The two will serve as co-founding presidents. Both women have been active in local business organizations, including the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Marketing association. As business-to-business marketers, however, they saw a need for a specialized business marketing group in Philadelphia.
"Philadelphia is obviously a thriving business community, and the establishment of a Philadelphia BMA chapter is long overdue," said Morsa, co-president of the new BMA chapter. "As any B2B marketing professional can attest, the needs and best practices of a B2B marketer are markedly different from those of consumer marketing professionals. We're confident that the establishment of this Chapter will help provide local B2B marketers with the resources and education they need to further themselves professionally."
The national BMA organization has been around since 1922, with more than 20 chapters in cities across the U.S.
The Philadelphia Chapter will host educational events including panel discussions, industry expert guest speakers, instructional webinars and social and networking events.
The FREE kickoff happy hour cocktail events for the BMA will be held on June 2nd at the Prime Rib in Philadelphia, and on June 17th at Kildare's Irish Pub in King of Prussia. Both events are free and are open to all marketing professionals. For more information or to register for these events, go to http://www.marketing.org/philadelphia or call 215.635.3016.
