I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma Cancer (cancer of the bone marrow) on October 16 2017, I was rushed to emergency at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ, after obtaining a compressed fracture in my back. Extra tests revealed the presence of the cancer(Multiple Myeloma). I was informed at the time of the diagnosis, the Myeloma was 80% of my bone marrow. At 80%, the cancer was in its later stage. The “SHOCK” of the news was unbearable let alone unbelievable. Knowing you have cancer, the treatment and the mounting medical expenses are more than a person can handle. The medical expenses for my treatment are enormous and very stressful. If I’m unable to maintain these payments, its likely the level of my treatment would be reduced or be of substandard or mediocre quality.
Multiple Myeloma is a cancer of Plasma Cells. It weakens bones, immune system, kidney, and red blood cells. The average life expectancy is 4 years. However, with good quality treatment one can live beyond 10, 20 or more year.
I’m now 52yrs. old with a wife and three children(19, 18, 16yrs). I would greatly appreciate your assistance with any amount to help me with these expenses.
Thank you in advance for help.
