I am way old, have been physically disabled since 2002, and recently received a blind diagnosis. I did not expect to live this long, and my retirement funds have been used up primarily for medical expenses.
I am trying to raise $25,000. This would allow me to stay in my home of 15 years (longest I’ve ever lived in one place in my life, long story) without having to worry about foreclosure. My only income is Social Security.
Any funds people are generous enough to donate will be used only for living expenses. I can’t see much and walking hurts, so travel issues possible. My favorite food is peanut butter and I hate eating out.
I just need a feeling of security for a year while I figure out what comes next. Both parents lived into the late ‘90s, so I may have to endure a couple more decades. If so, so be it.
